You're not just another face in the crowd. Get to know other people on a deeper level -- join a Tribe!
At Christ’s Church, one of our core values is “Grow.” We believe that we grow in Jesus not only when we are being spiritually fed on our own, but also within the context of a small group of believers—we call it a Tribe.
What is a Tribe?
A Tribe includes any small group that meets regularly, whether it is a Sunday morning tribe, a Bible study tribe, or a tribe that meets during the week at someone’s home. There are tribes with only women, only men, couples, people who live in a certain area, or senior adults. In midweek home tribes, childcare is often arranged by the group.
What do Tribes do?
Tribes strive to help each other grow as Disciples of Christ. A Disciple is a follower of God and a leader of people, with a reproducing influence. They do this by sharing life’s ups and downs, discussing the Bible, and having fun together. Some tribes like to share meals and serve together as well, depending on the needs and desires of the group.
Tribes Serving Together
One way for your tribe to grow closer is to serve together. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Respite nights with Access Ministry
- Flower bed maintenance on church property
- Setting up chairs for Sunday services
- Little Angels
- Operation Christmas Child
