Alan is the Executive Pastor.
Alan is the Executive Pastor. He leads the day-to-day operation of the church and its leaders, while implementing Trevor’s vision. Alan’s passion is being a part of a church that reaches people who are separated from God, and knowing that it’s making an impact on eternity. Alan graduated with a Business Administration degree and spent several years in Management and Sales before feeling called to vocational ministry seventeen years ago. He and his wife, Tina, have two awesome kids, Nik and Bekah, that God gave them from Russia and Virginia. As a family, you can find them playing golf and enjoying the outdoors together. Alan is affectionately called “The Hulk” by fellow staff members, although he wants people to know that he may be big, but he’s not scary! He’s just a good guy who likes to have honest conversations.
Adam Brucker is our Pathways Pastor (formerly known as the Connections Pastor). He heads up the various “first impressions” teams, like the Parking Team, Starting Point, Higher Grounds, and more. He grew up in a Christian family and placed his faith in Jesus at the age of eight. Adam and his wife, Trina, grew up in the Bloomington, Illinois area, living only about five minutes away from each other. When they were married, they moved to Clinton, Illinois, and have been raising their three boys over the past 11 years together. They are excited to be expecting a baby girl in May! Adam graduated from Lincoln Christian University in 2007, majoring in Ministry and minoring in Preaching. He began his ministry at First Christian Church of Clinton and worked there for ten years as the youth minister and later an associate minister. Adam loves to run, watch movies, and spend time with his family. He’s passionate about getting people connected to the church. He believes that the church is meant to be a family of believers, but sometimes it’s hard to get connected when you’re new. One interesting fact about Adam is that he posted a video on YouTube several years ago that went viral! I’ll bet you want to check that out now…
Trevor DeVage is our Lead Pastor.
Trevor is the Lead Pastor, which involves preaching and leadership. He drives the over-arching vision of where we are headed as a church. When he was ten years old, he accepted Christ and was baptized. At that time, his family moved to Maryland and attended church regularly, but his dad admitted that Trevor and his mom had something he didn’t have. Soon after, his dad was baptized too, and this re-launched the DeVage family. Now Trevor owes his ministry to his father, saying, “If it wasn’t for my dad, I’d probably be a lawyer (a mean one).” Trevor went to college at Lincoln Christian University and completed his degree in Preaching with a minor in Youth Ministry. He followed this up with a teaching degree from Wheaton University. During the next three years, he pursued his love of music playing as a drummer in a band. However, the Lord led him back to ministry—first youth ministry, then preaching, where he spent ten years serving in Dallas, Texas. Trevor joined our staff as Lead Pastor in 2013. His passion is for people who haven’t quite found what they’re looking for in life, and playing a part in leading them to redemption and transformation. When he’s not doing ministry work, he’s spending time with his wife, Laura, and their two daughters, Ella and Natalie. They love enjoying the outdoors and this means lots of golf, soccer, and walks in the park. Having meals together and going on vacations as a family are also very important to them. Trevor’s other passions are music, photography, the arts, and the Florida Gators. If you ever have dinner with Trevor, you’ll find that he is quick-witted, loves applesauce (on everything), and never drinks out of a straw (it creeps him out). His ultimate goal in life is “that it’s been evident that I’ve spent time with Jesus.”
