Deeper Life University
March 23 - June 4
Deeper Life University, or DLU, is a 10-week program of Bible study, Bible reading, and Bible memorization for discipleship with a focus on lay-leadership development. "Thoroughly Equipped" is our goal--that "the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (11 Tim 3:17). What does that take? Knowledge, experiences, and skills; better theology, spiritual disciplines, and walking with the Spirit; a passionate vision for disciple- making; confidence and competence.
DLU is meant to be a guided self-study--studying on one's own for about four hours per week and then working with a facilitator-led group--through material designed to enhance one's walk with Christ and empower one to become a more effective disciple maker.
Orientation: Thursday, March 23, 6:30 pm-7:00 pm, Staff Break Room (Second Floor)
Classes: Sundays, March 26, 7:00 am-8:30 am through June 4 (Room 206)
The cost is $20 for the book, and scholarships are available.

April 24, 6:30 pm
Do you volunteer in the church in some way? Whether it is with our Children's Ministries, Higher Grounds, Parking Team, Production Team, some other ministry, April 24 is the night that we want to show YOU our appreciation! Save the date for that evening. Coffee and desserts will be served beginning at 6:30 pm. We'll meet in the Gym for fun and surprises that you don’t want to miss!
Sunday, April 30
Support the His Hands "Bear" Ministry on Sponsor-A-Bear Sunday, April 30! Before and between services, look for the a table in the Lobby that is filled with colorful, handmade bears. Choose the bear you love, donate $5 to sponsor it, name it, and turn it back in to be delivered later to a deserving person.
The bears have all been handmade by Christ's Church servants who meet monthly (click HERE to get involved in that process)! They are given to patients who are suffering from cancer or other critical illnesses all over the area, in our church family, three local hospitals, and cancer centers. These bears, along with the scriptures they carry, provide comfort and the knowledge that someone was caring and thinking about them.
And...it's the ministry's 15th anniversary! So let's celebrate by showing our support on April 30!
1 Peter 4:11: "If anyone serves, he or she should do it with the strength that God provides, that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ."
